Some of these races were in the old Ascot Festival and have been moved up with the shake up of the Autumn racing program
The Royal Lodge G2 for 2yos has 5 O'Brien entries amongst the 14 still standing. Astrology is arguably
the best of these but there is also a bit of confusion as Richard Hughes is down to ride both of theHannon entries - Trumpet Major and Rochinante. We suspect he will go for Trumpet Major, and that
would be our top choice too. Watch out also for Farhaan, who is trained by John Dunlop for SheikHamdan.
The Cheveley Park G1 for the 2yo fillies over 1200 has 15 still in. Best Terms, for the Richards, is at
7/4, Lightening Pearl whom we like a lot is 5/1, and the David Wachman trained Fire Lily is 11/2.The Sun Chariot G1 for fillies and mares over the 1600m sees Sahpresa on top to hold of the challenge
of two crack Irish mares - she's 11/4 with Dermot Weld's Emulous at 9/2 and John Oxx's Alanza 11/2,and we are leaning towards the latter one here.
The Cambridgeshire still has a cast of thousands in it as we write (the flying horse box is currently in
southern Europe and not sure when it can rejoin cyberspace) so we hope your sharp pin is in bettershape than ours has been of late.
