Cieren Fallon has revealed he has appealed the six-figure fine and month-long ban that he picked up when steering Lake Forest to victory in the $10 million Golden Eagle last weekend. Fallon was fined A$100,000 and was banned from riding for a month after Australian stewards deemed he caused interference in the closing stages. Fallon, who is based with trainer William Haggas, felt the sanction he received was excessive.

Bryony Frost will return to tiding in Britain on Friday when she is reunited with Sans Bruit for Exeter's BetMGM Haldon Gold Cup. Frost, who is now permanently based in France, steered the Paul Nicholls-trained chaser to victory in the Red Rum Chase at Aintree in April. The pair were among six declarations for the Exeter feature on Friday, headed by Joe Tizzard's JPR One.

Arizona Cardinal will not return to Aintree for Saturday's Boylesports Grand Sefton Handicap Chase he was found to have scoped dirty post-exercise. Stuart Edmunds' chaser, who won the Topham Chase over Aintree's Grand National fences last season, was pulled-up on his reappearance at Chepstow last month.

Gilltown Stud announced that Sea The Stars will stand at his highest-ever fee of €250,000 in 2025. Sea The Stars sired 28 stakes winners last season, including Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris winner Sosie and ante-post 2000 Guineas favourite The Lion In Winter. Fellow Aga Khan Studs stallion Zarak has also had his fee increased from €60,000 to €80,000, while Siyouni will remain unchanged at €200,000.

Gerri Colombe remains on course for the Grade 1 Savills Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas despite his disappointing reappearance effort at Down Royal last week. Runner-up to Galopin Des Champs in last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup, Gordon Elliott's charge was sent off odds-on to make a winning reappearance Ladbrokes Champion Chase, but he failed to travel with much zest and ultimately finished a well-held third behind Envoi Allen and Hewick.
