In the feature 3m1½f Class 3 Ignite Incentives Handicap Chase (2:25), race fitness may prove key with Dan Skelton's Jet Plane well-fancied to land a third straight success. The seven-year-old returned after the summer break with an eye-catching Newton Abbot victory, where he made steady headway in the closing stages to score by two-and-a-half lengths from Investment Manager. A three-time winner over fences, Jet Plane has rarely put in a poor performance since switching to the larger obstacles and remains on an attractive mark for a yard which have been consistently producing winners (5-41) over the last fortnight.

WIN: JET PLANE

The 2m Class 4 Watch On Racing TV Novices' Hurdle (1:15) has attracted a bumper field of seventeen runners with plenty of chances. Harry Derham's Nordic Tiger was bought out of France following a fair fourth on debut at Dax for Augustin Adeline De Boisbrunet and appeared to be a horse to follow after his promising first hurdling start at Uttoxeter. Although the four-year-old was well-beaten at the line, he remained in contention throughout the first half of the race before losing his place with two to jump. Jockey Paul O'Brien encouraged the gelding to rally as the pair came into the final fence and he shaped as though there was plenty of improvement to come. The experienced Daryl Jacob takes the ride for Derham, who has achieved one winner from only four runners in the past two weeks.

WIN: NORDIC TIGER

Although Farmer's Gamble is expected to be well-supported for the 3m Class 4 Visit racingtv.com Novices' Handicap Chase (1:50), the Kim Bailey-trained Hurlerontheditch has scope for progression on chasing debut. Winner of a Wexford bumper for Michael Kennedy, Hurlerontheditch switched to the Bailey yard in October 2021 and has clearly had his issues, placing second at Bangor in 2021 before remaining absent from the track until January 2023. He placed on all three hurdling starts, including in a Wetherby handicap in April and has undertaken wind surgery over the summer break. A full brother to the Listed placed Majestic Maid, Hurlerontheditch boasts the credentials to make a successful start to his chasing career.

WIN: HURLERONTHEDITCH

Dromlac Jury could be an interesting prospect for the 2m Class 5 Join Racing TV Now EBF Mares' Open National Hunt Flat Race and is expected to be an attractive price from the Tom Symonds yard. She makes her debut under rules for new connections, following a fall in her sole point-to-point outing at Monksgrange. The four-year-old filly was always travelling well in the race and was contesting for the win when coming down at the final fence. Although horse, trainer and jockey form would not be the most appealing prospect on paper, Dromlac Jury is clearly better than her sole form figure would suggest and a big run would not surprise.

WIN: DROMLAC JURY
