The 2017 Cartier Racing Awards nominees have been unveiled following the end of the British flat season at Doncaster.
Runaway QIPCO Champion Stakes winner Cracksman, star three-year-old filly Enable, Europe's top miler Ribchester and dual G1 winner Ulysses are the four nominees for the Cartier Horse Of The Year.
European horse racing's top awards are decided in a unique way and give the racing public a big say.
They are delivered through a tried and tested combination of points earned by horses in Pattern races (30%), combined at the end of season with the opinions of a panel of racing journalists/handicappers (35%) and votes from readers of Racing Post and The Daily Telegraph plus ITV Racing viewers (35%).
The 27th annual Cartier Racing Awards are presented at an atmospheric ceremony before an invited audience which includes many top owners, trainers and jockeys at the Dorchester Hotel, London, England, on the evening of Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
