Jean-Claude Rouget confirmed to the French press that the daughter of Cape Cross died on Friday morning during a veterinary examination being undertaken with a view to the sale of the filly.

The daughter of Cape Cross was registered with France Galop as dead on Friday morning, a fact confirmed to the French press by trainer Jean-Claude Rouget, though exact details have yet to emerge.

Lesstalk In Paris was beaten by three quarters of a length at Ascot, bouncing right back to form following a disappointing performance when made favourite for the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches in May.

Lesstalk In Paris won twice at Group 3 level for owner-breeder Jean-Louis Tepper.

She showed a brilliant turn of foot to land the Prix d'Aumale at Chantilly under Ioritz Mendizabal last September, as well as easily disposing of her rivals on her three-year-old debut in the Prix de la Grotte under a confident Christophe Soumillon.
