All three four-year-olds will be having their first race of the season in the Pinnacle Stakes over 1400m with Princess Victoria receiving 3kg from the other two.

Trainer Brett Crawford has been long been aiming to have Cape Derby and Daily News winner Jackson (Karis Teetan) ready for this race while Joey Ramsden confirmed Variety Club (Anton Marcus) a runner after working the Cape Guineas and Gold Challenge winner at Kenilworth on Saturday.

Ramsden will also start Bravura (Glen Hatt).

Glen Kotzen has no hesitation in bringing four-time G1 winner Princess Victoria to the party.

“She is in fantastic shape, doing great and Piere Strydom will ride," Kotzen said.

Last season’s Vodacom Durban July and L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate-winning jockey takes over from Anton Marcus and follows the injured Andrew Fortune and Sean Cormack who both won G1 races on the mare.

Ebony Flyer was also entered for Sunday’s race but Justin Snaith has ruled her out as he says is battling to find suitable races.

Meanwhile Zimbabwe champion Control Freak had a valid reason for finishing only sixth on her reappearance in last weekend’s Diana Stakes.

Neil Bruss reported: “She lost a shoe in the race and she was lame afterwards. She might go for the Betting World Merchants at Kenilworth on November 17.”
