The Heath 1100 Stakes is a Group 3 race run under Set Weights and Penalty conditions for four year olds and up horses at Caulfield conducted by the Melbourne Racing Club.

The Heath 1100 Stakes is run over 1100m. It was first run in 2002 and was won by Crystal Finale.

The Heath 1100 Stakes went from unlisted handicap to Listed until 2012 then Group 3 after that.

'The Heath' is the colloquial name for the Caulfield Racecourse.

Remarkable how many Group 1 standard sprinters have won this for only a Group 3 sprint early in the season.

The Heath 1100 Stakes was worth $200,000 in stakes in 2024.

2003 winner Lovely Jubly is the dam of champion sprinter Chautauqua.

Redzel would go on to win a Doomben 10,000 at the end of the 2016/17 season and then in 2017 took the first running of the Everest.

Ball Of Muscle defeated a field which include multiple G1 winners in 2018.

Masked Crusader came from last to score much like his fabled ex-stablemate Chautauqua who raced in the same colours. He had already been slotted into The Everest field of 2021.

The 2024 edition was run as the 'Vale Black Caviar' to honour the great mare who passed away the week before.

Notable winners of the Heath 1100 Stakes include Asfoora (2023), Masked Crusader (2021), Ball Of Muscle (2018), Voodoo Lad (2017), Redzel (2016), Bounding (2015), Flamberge (2014), Samaready (2013), Golden Archer (2012), Atomic Force (2011), Bel Mer (2008), Undue (2007), Shadoways (2006) and Lovely Jubly (2003).
