Kashtan will look to build on his strong last start win when lining up in the Benchmark 55 Handicap (1408m) at Taree today.
The Paul Messara-trained runner followed up three career placings with a dominant win over 1300m at Scone last time out and he looks well placed on the back of that effort despite carrying the 60kg.
Aaron Bullock who has placed his only previous ride goes back on board today and this looks a very nice progression for Kashtan who certainly appears to have plenty of ability.
Expect the three-year-old gelding to push forward and settle on the speed from barrier 5 and he should have no issues with the step up to 1408m for the first time.

Form for the most part in Victoria has been very solid of late and from the wide draw today she looks another that will push forward and settle on the speed.
