A Best Solution (Kodiac) half-brother to the Bennett Racing-owned Ardakan (Reliable Man) topped the opening session of the BBAG October Sale in Baden-Baden on Friday when bought for €120,000 by Bruno Grizzetti and Scuderia Incolinx.

Sold by Gestut Rottgen as Lot 83, the colt is from the first crop of his sire and out of Listed winner Alaskakonigin (Sternkoenig), who is the dam of three winners to date including this year's Group 2 Italian Derby (2200m) winner Ardakan and Listed winner Alaskasonne (Soldier Hollow).

Winner of the 2018 Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) for Saeed bin Suroor and Godolphin, Best Solution now stands in Germany for a partnership of studs and his 2022 fee was advertised at €6,500.

The colt was the sole figure to sell for six figures.
