Dual Group 1 winner to stand his first season at Haras de Beaumont
A fee of €12,000 has been set for dual Group 1 winner Sealiway (Galiway), who will stand at Haras de Beaumont, near Deauville, next year.
The Francis Graffard-trained Sealiway won his first two starts as a juvenile and went on to win the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (1400m) later that year. He added a second Group 1 victory in last year's Champion stakes (1m2f) at Ascot. Out of the Listed winning Kendargent (Kendor) mare Kensea, Sealiway retires the winner of five of his 18 career starts. He also placed second in the Group 1 Prix du Jockey Club (2500m) behind St Mark's Basilica (Siyouni) and third in the the Group 1 Prix Ganay (2500m) behind State Of Rest (Starspangledbanner).
The Chehboub family's newly created stud farm, Haras de Beaumont, is adjacent to the Head family's Haras du Quesnay.
