Lilac Road (3 f ex Lavender Lane by Shamardal) became the 82nd stakes winner for Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer) when she won Wednesday’s Upavon Fillies’ Stakes (Listed, 1m2f) at Salisbury. Taking the lead in the closing stages under Tom Marquand, the William Haggas-trained filly held on to beat favourite Technique - who is also by Mastercraftsman - by a head. Mastercraftsman’s stakes winners are headed by 16 Group One winners.

The now pensioned Pivotal (Polar Falcon), who stood his entire career at Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket, notched up his 156th stakes winner on Wednesday when Solene Lilyette (3 f ex Supernovae by Dalakhani) won the Hurry Harriet Stakes (Listed, 1m1.5f) at Gowran Park on Wednesday. After settling in second, Solene Lilyette took the lead in the final 200 metres and beat Astadash (Zoffany) by a half length.
