The Magic Millions Perth Winter Yearling Sale has gained some recent Group 1 flavour with a half-brother to this month's J J Atkins winner King Colorado added to the catalogue.

The colt by Pride Of Dubai out of the More Than Ready mare More Aspen has been added as a supplementary lot and will be sold through the Willow Dale Farm draft.

He is the fourth foal from American mare More Aspen, a granddaughter of Group 1 winner Northern Aspen, who came to Australia in-foal to Kingman during the 2019/2020 season.

That foal was King Colorado, who has been More Aspen's only runner to date and was a dominant winner of the Group 1 J J Atkins (1600m) at Eagle Farm on June 11 at just his third start for the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable.

"It's exciting to have a colt with such a pedigree joining Sunday's sale," Magic Millions WA Manager David Houston said.

"The decision to enter the colt was only made in recent days and while the colt won't have had the preparation of others, he is sure to attract strong interest.

"Rarely do you get an opportunity to buy a half-brother to such an exciting current two-year-old Group One winner and his presence in the auction will create significant interest."

King Colorado's half-brother will be the 65th and final lot of the yearling sale, which will be followed by the 12-lot broodmare sale and a further 134 lots to be offered in a weanling sale.
