Buyers will have the chance to secure a half-share in a Group-winning, Group 1-placed mare in the first Inglis digital sale to be held in August.

Nudge will be one of the star lots in the sale that will run from August 5 to 10.

The daughter of Fastnet Rock, who was prepared by Chris Waller, counted the Group 3 Pam O'Neill Stakes (1600m) among four wins in a 30-start career that also generated 12 placings, one of which was a second behind Tofane in the Group 1 Tattersalls Tiara.

"Nudge is a great type, good constitution, effective racehorse, well bred… if she produces progeny like herself, trainers will be happy,'' Waller said of Nudge.

"She always gave you a good run for your money. She picked up some good wins and was probably not the luckiest horse in terms of barrier draws and luck in running but on the right day with the right run, gee she was a very good horse, competitive in some of the biggest races.

"Her greatest attributes would be her temperament – she's a lovely horse who was good to work with – her strength and power which is what we want in Australian racing and speed, which would get her through to a mile as well.''

Entries for the August (Early) Sale close at midnight on Wednesday, but Nudge will not be the only high-profile name in the catalogue with Stakes-winning American mare Lakerball also entered.
