Five for Turn Me Loose
The good run for Windsor Park Stud's young sire Turn Me Loose (Iffraaj) continued on Friday when Prix De Turn (3 c ex Prix du Sang by Red Ransom) won the Alister Clark Stakes (Gr 2, 2040m) at Moonee Valley. The Matthew Brown-trained colt, who was last seen finishing 12th in the Australian Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m), came with a wide run round the home turn and pulled one and a quarter lengths clear of fellow New Zealand-bred colt Can't Go Wong (Per Incanto). Prix De Turn was bought by his trainer for NZ$47,500 from the draft of Ohukia Lodge at the Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale in 2020.
Turn Me Loose, who has two crops of racing age, has been enjoying a good run with Lickety Split winning last weekend's SIstema Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) before Ancient Girl captured the Morphettville Guineas (Listed, 1600m) on Monday.

Two for Nostradamus
Rosemont Stud's Nostradamus (Medaglia d'Oro) notched up stakes winner number two when In The Boat (4 g ex Almost Crystal by Snitzel won the Abell Stakes (Listed, 1200m) at Moonee Valley on Friday evening. Taking his record to six wins and four placings in ten career starts, In The Boat defeated Regardsmaree (So You Think) by a length. Nostradamus covered a book of just ten mares last year standing at a fee of $5,500 (inc GST), having stood at that same fee in 2020 when he covered 58 mares.
