ROSEHILL June 3RACE 1: (7) KANGA’S EYE: It’s been a patient wait for this talented youngster to reappear after her excellent second in the Gimcrack Stakes at the start of the season. Her debut was a pearler, missing the start by three lengths then running into roadblocks before finishing hard behind Jorda. Her two recent trials have been eye catchers as she has gone around in both under a double grip without being asked for a serious effort. Reckon Anthony and Edward Cummings know they have a smart one and it seems others hold the same opinion as they pounced on the big overs when the early markets were posted.
RACE 4 (3) ZAMEX: The strike rate of the Matt Dunn stable in these Highway events is excellent and he has another ideal type primed for a Sydney raid in this promising three-year-old after his two impressive Queensland efforts in strong form races since resuming. Worked to the line strongly behind Oink when first-up at Eagle Farm and then ran a big second to the classy Niccanova at the Gold Coast after bombing the start by eight lengths, form that stands out in this class as Niccanova went on to win the G3 Fred Best Classic at Eagle Farm last week. Can be a risk at the start but he has since had barrier practice with an easy trial third at the Gold Coast.RACE 9 (14) DREAMFORCE: This should be his chance for a deserving win as he gets in with 1.5 kg under the limit after Brock Ryan takes his claim and the drop back to 1500m will suit him much better than his last start when he just failed to lead all the way over 1600m at Warwick Farm under 59kg His recent racing under big weights has brought this gross type to his peak and he’s ideally placed under these conditions as he has the option of leading or taking a sit with cover. Weighted to win.
