10 declared for Yorkshire Oaks

10 fillies have been declared for the Group 1 Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks on Thursday with Aidan O’Brien’s Savethelastdance looking to back up her Irish Oaks success.

The Coolmore-owned filly will face very different conditions to what she seemingly relished when powering through the mud to beat the reopposing Bluestocking by half a length at the Curragh a month ago. The master of Ballydoyle will also saddle Royal Ascot scorer Warm Heart.

Savethelastdance isn't the only filly bidding to make it back-to-back Group 1 victories, with Roger Varian's Al Husn arriving following success in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

Lancashire Oaks Poptronic will be joined by stablemate Novakai, who steps back up in grade after routing her opposition in Listed company on the July Course last-time-out.

Rosscarbery drops back to a mile and a half after finishing runner-up to Emily Dickinson in the Curragh Cup last start, while William Haggas' Sea Silk Road will be looking to turn the form around with Poptronic having filled the second spot behind Karl Burke's filly in the previously mentioned Lancashire Oaks.

Free Wind is the sole declaration for Clarehaven Stables and John and Thady Gosden will be hoping their filly, who struggled to cope with testing conditions in the Group 2 Lillie Langtry at Goodwood last time, can get back to the form that saw her score on the Knavesmire when making her seasonal reappearance in May.

Stay Alert completes the field of ten.
